I build people-centered products and systems.
I work at the intersection of product, UX and operations. I currently lead the UX & Strategic Projects team at McClatchy, a 30-newsroom media company including The Sacramento Bee and The Miami Herald. Before moving into this role, I led McClatchy’s design-thinking practice and worked as a product manager on the news product team. I am passionate about building inclusive and efficient processes, systems, and teams.
I was selected for Poynter’s Leadership Academy for Women in Digital Media in 2019 and currently mentor other emerging leaders through the Digital Women Leaders program. (Sign up to chat here!)
Before coming to McClatchy, I founded Kinethics, an interactive compliance-training company focused on anti-corruption law. I developed a love for journalism as a freelance writer and intern at CNN and Reese News Lab.
Some other things I care about: furniture design, theology, the Midwest, racial and gender justice, painting, creative writing and Dolly Parton.
