I am a design-thinking advocate and startup founder with a passion for audience-driven media and building inclusive, ethical organizations. I am currently Innovation Manager for McClatchy, where I train McClatchy employees and partners in design thinking and bring user-centered prototypes and processes to life. I believe the future of media lies in empathizing with audiences and partnering with diverse communities.
Before coming to McClatchy, I founded Kinethics, an interactive compliance-training company focused on anti-corruption law. Running a startup while still in college gave me the entrepreneurial bug, and most importantly, showed me how to learn quickly and take risks. I developed a love for journalism as a freelance writer and intern at CNN and Reese News Lab.
Some other things I’m passionate about: furniture design, my family’s pug, traveling, the Midwest, racial and gender justice, creative writing and philosophy.
